    What sets Fouquet's Paris apart

    1. The brasserie

Fouquet's has been the restaurant of French cinema for generations, and the lunch for the nominees of the César awards has long been held here. Its dining room is listed as a historic monument.

    2. The corner

The hotel is on the Champs-Élysées itself, a short walk down the avenue from the Arc de Triomphe, with the fashion houses of the avenue George V and the avenue Montaigne behind it.

    3. The buildings

The hotel takes up most of a block. Where a new front was needed, the architect Édouard François cast the stone façade of the building next door in grey concrete and cut modern windows through it. The rooms are by Jacques Garcia, who redesigned them in 2017.

    4. The spa and the pool

The Spa Diane Barrière has a swimming pool fifteen metres long, with a sauna, steam rooms and a fitness room.

    5. Restaurants and bars

The Fouquet's brasserie, and Le Joy, a restaurant around a garden inside the hotel. Three bars: L'Escadrille, the bar of Le Joy, and Le Marta.

A brasserie that grew a hotel

Louis Fouquet took over a bar on the Champs-Élysées in 1898 and gave it his name, with an apostrophe in the English manner that was then in fashion. It became the meeting place of aviators, and then of the film world.

The dining room was listed as a historic monument in 1990, after a campaign to save it. The Barrière family, who own casinos and hotels in the French resorts, bought the restaurant in 1998 and opened the hotel around it in November 2006.

On 16 March 2019 the brasserie was wrecked and set on fire during a demonstration. It reopened on 14 July that year. The hotel received the Palace distinction in June 2026.
