Amsterdam's two great museums share one square. The Rijksmuseum holds Rembrandt's Night Watch and the Dutch painters of the seventeenth century; across the Museumplein, the Van Gogh Museum has the largest collection of the artist's paintings, drawings and letters anywhere.
