A café on the Glorieta de Bilbao since 1887
The café opened on 21 March 1887 in a new building on the corner of the Calle de Fuencarral, and was soon renamed the Gran Café Comercial. Its walls were painted and its ceilings coffered in 1895.
It changed hands several times, lost the grand in its name, and closed for a time before reopening in 2017 after a restoration.
