      The rooms were designed by Tommaso Ziffer and Olga Polizzi, with the Grand Tour as their theme: prints, busts and strong colour.

    The hotel occupies an eighteenth-century palazzo on Via Sistina, the street that Pope Sixtus V drove across the hill to Trinità dei Monti.

    Rocco Forte Hotels, which already had the Hotel de Russie at the other end of Via del Babuino, restored the building and reopened it in 2019.
