Canova and Tadolini
In January 1818 Antonio Canova signed the lease of the studio over to Adamo Tadolini, his favourite pupil. The Tadolini family went on carving here for four generations.
The street
Via del Babuino runs from the Spanish Steps to Piazza del Popolo. The studio is at the corner of Via dei Greci.

Two centuries of sculpture, kept as it was
The studio stayed with the Tadolini family until the 1960s. It was then taken over and restored as a museum that is also a café and restaurant, with the original colours and the models in place.
