What sets Bulgari Hotel Roma apart
The building
A block of travertine and red brick, built between 1936 and 1938 to the design of Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo, with mosaics and reliefs of the period on its front. It is one of the clearest pieces of rationalist architecture in Rome.
The square of Augustus
The windows look onto the round tomb of the first emperor. His altar of peace, the Ara Pacis, is in its museum at the corner of the square.
The spa and the pool
On the lower floor is a spa with a long indoor pool, lined with mosaic in the manner of a Roman bath.

The restaurant and the bar on the top floors open onto terraces over the square and the river.

The building went up between 1936 and 1938 as part of the new square laid out round the Mausoleum of Augustus, and was government offices for most of its life.
The Bulgari Hotel Roma opened in it on 9 June 2023, the ninth hotel of the jeweller's collection.
