The building is one of a pair of colonnaded palaces put up in 1887 by Gaetano Koch round the Fountain of the Naiads, from which the hotel takes its name.

A grain store, a palace, a hotel
The oldest part of the hotel is a wing built in 1705 by Pope Clement XI as a grain store. The curved palace in front of it dates from 1887.
It became a hotel in 2003, as the Exedra, and has changed hands and names since. It took the name Palazzo Naiadi in 2018 and is now run by Anantara.
