Five centuries a palace, since 2023 a hotel
For a long time the palace was the residence of the cardinal who held the title of San Marcello. It passed through the Salviati, the Cesi and the Mellini families, who gave it its name.
Six Senses opened it as a hotel on 16 March 2023, to the designs of Patricia Urquiola. It was the group's first hotel in a city in Italy.
