The Castellana Hilton
Luis Martínez-Feduchi designed it in 1950 on the site of the Duke of Aliaga's mansion, and it opened in 1953 under the Hilton name.
The old house inside
The hotel reused parts of the decoration of the mansion that had stood on the site.
The guests
In the 1950s and 1960s it was where the regime lodged its foreign guests, and where the film stars working in Spain stayed.
The Castellana
The hotel is on the Paseo de la Castellana, between the Salamanca district and Chamberí, with the Sorolla Museum and the Lázaro Galdiano a short walk away.
