What sets Hotel Lungarno apart
In the river
The building rises straight from the Arno on the Oltrarno side. Many of the rooms have private terraces over the water.
The pictures
The Ferragamo family, who own it, have hung the hotel with their own collection of twentieth-century art, several hundred works in all.
The Oltrarno
Borgo San Jacopo, the street behind, is one of the oldest on the south bank. The Pitti Palace is five minutes' walk and Piazza Santo Spirito a little more.
White and blue
The rooms are done in white and navy, like the cabins of a yacht, which suits a house with water on one side.
What it has
- Restaurant Borgo San Jacopo, on the river
- Bar and lounge over the water
- Private terraces
