Cars, then a bank, then a café
Wolseley Motors spent so much on the showroom that the company was bankrupt within five years. Barclays Bank took the ground floor in 1927 and kept it until 1999.
Two London restaurateurs restored it and opened it in 2003 as a café on the model of the great ones of central Europe.
